Transition animal
“Transition animal” was a catalogue text written for artist Kathy Clark, whose exhibition bears; truths... was held at the Reykjavík Art Museum – Hafnarhús in 2015. My essay explores the relationship between humans and bears as mediated through the teddy bear, both the subject and primary material of Clark’s monumental installation.
