Eygló Harðardóttir at the Living Art Museum

I was delighted to translate the highly introspective text for Eygló Harðardóttir's solo exhibition Another Space (Annað rými) at the Living Art Museum (Nýlistasafn). The text, based on the artist's experience of five hypnotherapy sessions, was exhibited alongside her visual artworks in the show. Surreal, intimate, and evocative, Eygló's descriptions of her corporeal sensations and wandering thoughts during hypnotherapy were wonderful to work with.

Eygló, with whom I used to teach at the Reykjavík School of Visual Arts (Myndlistaskólinn í Reykjavík), was named Artist of the Year in the 2019 Icelandic Art Awards. Til hamingju, elsku Eygló!
